Safety
shoes for the commercial sector, made of leather or other materials, are
manufactured in accordance with EN 345. The safety categories are subdivided
according to the additional requirement:
S1: with
steel cap, for areas where exposure to moisture is not to be expected.
S1P: with
steel toe cap, for areas like S1, but also with a steel midsole to protect
against the risk of sharp and pointed objects.
S2: with
steel cap, for areas where the effects of moisture are to be expected.
S3: with
steel toe cap, for areas like S2, but also with a steel midsole to protect
against the risk of sharp and pointed objects.
S4: like
S3, but made of polymer material
S5: like
S4, but with an additional steel midsole
